Looking at these pictures you would think these girls hate their hair and that’s exactly what identical twins Cipriana Quann and TK Wonder did for a long time. But as time passed they stopped straightening their curls and started embracing them. It turned out to be one of the best decisions they had ever made since they’re now recognized as the queens of natural hair, leading to a rising Instagram business.
In the latest #TravelDiary campaign for @dfsofficial #tgalleria, where my twin sister @tk_wonder and I had an amazing experience to travel to Hawaii and immerse in the beautiful culture. Special thank you to DFS. ▫▫▫ Photo 📷: @terrygates ▫▫▫ #hawaii @northseaair @hanaproductions #letstraveltogether #quannsisters▫▫▫

Cipriana and Tk aren’t just pretty faces, together with their friend Nikisha Brunson they run the blog “Urban Bush Babes“. “I think it came to a point where it was derogatory toward people who wore their hair natural, and there was a certain stigma around people who wore their hair natural or in an afro” TK Wonder said. “It was about breaking down stereotypes and derogatory perceptions that people had about natural hair.”
☺ When you wake up to see a shoutout from the Creative Director of @Roberto_Cavalli, @paul_surridge ・・・ Repost: “A personal thank you to @ciprianaquann and @tk_wonder for attending the show. Very happy to have you as guests. You are two very powerful women ❤” ▫▫▫ 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾So flattered! Thank you for having my twin sister, TK and I. To view the incredible collection in Milan was a dream come true. ▫▫▫
“When Dahomey Amazons walked out of the palace, they were preceded by a girl carrying a bell. The sound told every male to get out of their path, retire a certain distance, and look the other way. To even touch these women meant death.” – British Explorer; Sir Richard Francis Burton (19 March 1821 – 20 October 1890) ••• Just a bit more information to end the night. 🤗 Still high off of discovering through ancestry DNA testing, that my twin sister @tk_wonder and I have ancestors that are the from the The Ahosi of Dahomey, or the ‘Dahomey Amazons’; a real life all-female regiment (the only all-female combat force in the world), created by King Houegbadja in the 19th century, that inspired the all-female Dora Milaje warriors of the film @blackpanther.
