Jon Olsson is kiddo we all secretly admire and we are honestly quite a bit jealous of his life. Born in Mora, Sweden, in 1982 Jon lives the good life. Both of Jon his parents were skiers, so for Jon a logical step to go skiing as well and he did this in a pretty profitable way.
Until the age of sixteen Jon was an Alpine Ski Racer but switched to Free Skiing. After eight years of playing in the “Tief-Schnee” Jon made a bet with his buddy Jens Byggmark for 50,000 SEK that he would make the 2014 Olympics. He trained himself to the max but made it, he will participate in the Games in both disciplines.
In the scene Olsson is known for inventing a large range of ‘double flips. Such as a D-spin 720 into a flat spin 540 (DJ Flip), a switch double rodeo 1080 (Hexosamine Flip), a double flat spin 900 (Kangaroo Flip) and a switch cork 720 to flat spin 540 (The Tornado).
In addition to this respectable arsenal of tricks, Jon holds 9 Winter X Games medals and won several events including Big Air at Winter X Games 08, The U.S. Freeskiing Open in Vail, The Red Bull Big Air in Åre, Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships in Riksgränsen and the World Superpipe Championships in Whistler BC. And Jon would not be Jon if he didn’t do all this without a hot and blond Swedish girl on his side named Janni Deler.
The one thing we do have in common with Jon is his love for cars. Jon already drove a Lamborghini LP-640 and LP-670-4 with roof box (for his skis), an Aventador LP-700-4, a camouflaged Gallardo and a tuned Audi R8 PPI Razor. In addition, Jon designed a new toy for the latest edition of the Gumball: The Rebellion R2k. The monster weighs about 1000kg and is supposed to deliver a decent 800bhp plus.
How does Jon pay for this beautiful life? We think that sponsors like Red Bull and Betsafe provide a cent or two. In addition, the favorable tax environment of his hometown Monaco and the fact Jon is also still involved in a number of companies, including Yniq, should help him survive as well.
