Filmmaker Wes Anderson’s unique style has inspired many. Instagram accounts filled with locations that can easily fit in one of his films and Airbnb apartments designed completely in Wes Anderson style. Wes’ most popular film The Grand Budapest Hotel has now also become the inspiration for a coffee hotspot in China and it’s gorgeous.
The coffee shop, which is subsequently is named The Budapest Café, perfectly combines marble surfaces and pastel walls, with help from Melbourne-based design studio Biasol. It’s located in Chengdu but has a certain international vibe.
“Like Anderson, we create imagination and evocative spaces,” said Biasol. “Our design for The Budapest Cafe has a relaxed and indulgent atmosphere; a whimsical and elegant aesthetic; and a hospitality experience infused with Melbourne’s cafe culture.”
