“We’re presenting a very Italian sense of luxury-one with history, design, and a touch of whimsy, (source: Design Hotel)” explains Gabriele Salini, the owner of the recently opened luxe-hotel G-Rough in Rome. Mind us but you had us at ‘Italian sense of luxury‘. Nevertheless, raw materials and industrial features don’t exactly strike us as Italian luxury but this is exactly what makes G-Rough in Rome so special.
Salini drew inspiration from both the history of old Rome, which is known for its iconic ruins and modern Italian design masters, such as Ico Parisi, Giò Ponti, Venini and Seguso. These names probably won’t sound familiar to most but a bit of Googling reveals that they are the design icons of the 30’s and 50’s. As a result, the hotel is filled with beautiful retro furniture against unfinished walls. Do you love timeless design and beautiful interior? Make sure to visit G-Rough when in Rome.
