A staycation? One of our favourite things to do. Okay, that’s not entirely true. We love to fly all over the world and discover the prettiest places. Like these beautiful spots in Austria or in one of our favourite European cities: Paris.
But we do have to admit, coming home always feels the best. And lets be honest: your own bed is always the best. And yet, after a week we always want to leave again. Longing for another adventure. Unfortunately, we’re still not growing a money tree so we can’t travel every month. We wish! Now that we have the privilege to live in the capital of our country, we always love to have a staycation once in a while. It’s like a small trip on its own.
Now we once had a staycation in our own city on one of these houseboats, but what we also love is staying in a canal house or another beautiful house in the city. And no, we do not need a 500-square-meter static building (if we get it, we’re not complaining). Even if it is a small 35 square meter apartment.
Rebel – Private Room
This apartment is right in the center of the city. You’re staying in a beautiful building from the sixteenth century and are within walking distance of Dam Square and Central Station.
Lovely hideout in the middle of AMS
It is small, but it is beautiful. A small apartment on Leidseplein. One step out of the door and you’ll immediately find yourself in the bustle of the city. You’re everywhere in a few minutes walking distance. We’re in love!
Cozy room in penthouse at canal
It may be a bit (very) wrong, those white leather sofas. But that maybe has its charm. And for 110 square meters we are pretty sure this place is amazing.
17thC. Studio center Amsterdam
When we look at the next house, we immediately get a nostalgic feeling. This place looks exactly like our grandmothers house in De Jordaan. The old-fashioned decor gives us the old school Amsterdam vibes.
EXTRAORDINARY A’dam apt. with FAB balcony!
Okay, maybe we’re cheating. This apartment is not really in the center of Amsterdam, but in De Pijp. And we all know that De Pijp is currently one of the coolest neighborhoods. So we made an exception for this gorgeous apartment.
100% Center-Studio 2 Private Floor / Bathroom
And then when you move back to the center of the city, the apartments become smaller and smaller. And we call it a studio. But you do not really need anything more in this city, right?
Cozy room with shared living
And we end at Leidseplein again. We can hardly think of anything more central than this. Close by the Rijksmuseum, within walking distance of the shopping streets, but Rembrandtplein is not too far away as well. Prefer drinks in De Pijp? Also within walking distance. If you ask us, this is the best place.
