The prettiest courtyards in Amsterdam for an Indian Summer

We all love it: lists full of hotspots. Whether this is a list of all the rooftop bars you should go to, or a place to go with a fireplace during the cold winter days. And guess what, we love to have these lists, but we prefer making them even more! You can never have too many hotspots. Unfortunately, summer is coming to an end. But we still have faith and believe in a warm September. And what is better than ending the summer in one of these courtyards with a good glass of wine and a delicious meal.

Lion Noir

We all have our favorite spots to go to. And Lion Noir is definitely ours. We think it’s the perfect setting for a first date. And afterwards you can have a romantic cuddle in one of the theaters next door, because Lion Noir is located at the Reguliersdwarsstraat. The perfect end of an evening.

Morgan & Mees

The courtyard of Morgan & Mees has something special. It’s so cozy. It’s that cozy that you’ll find yourself at the lap of your neighbor. Okay just kidding, but it’s very close. Not that we mind, this only causes extra conversations and maybe even new friendships. It’s the little things in life.

Dignita Hoftuin

We all love fairytales. And you can find some in Amsterdam-Oost. The first one is Dignita Hoftuin. Some of you might have heard the name Dignita before. There’s one located on the Konginneweg in Zuid. But we are very happy with this new restaurant, because we love to escape the city center and relax in this courtyard.

De Plantage

Like we said before, Oost has some fairytales, and this next place, we just can’t get enough of. It immediately creates a smile on many faces. On ours as well. This is just a real-life fairytale, because of all the lights in the trees, it creates that magical touch.

Pause at Pulitzer

We all know how crowded the city center of Amsterdam is. Especially around the Nine Streets. But did you know, that most of the canal houses have some really big gardens? And so, does the Pulitzer hotel, a courtyard to be exact. This hotel consists of 25 historic canal houses. And the gigantic courtyard at Pause at Pulitzer couldn’t be missed.

Restaurant Merkelbach

Our next location is a bit further away from the center. Also located at Oost, but in Watergraafsmeer. But it’s all worth it. We like to call it: ‘The next level fairytale’. Can anyone tell us which Disney princess lived here?

Bar Brasserie OCCO

Another courtyard of a luxury hotel on the canals: Bar Brasserie OCCO. While Pause at Pulitzer is a lot bigger, OCCO is much smaller and cozier and can be found in The Dylan. And the fun part of The Dylan is that you can have a drink outside and later on, when it gets a bit colder, you can go inside to warm up your feet at the fireplace.
